I am from South West michigan, I am in the army and moved to alaska and now in Iraq...I am getting close to coming home and starting to get some new tackle and see what is new on the market. There was a catolog that was sent to the house back in michigan, I am pretty sure they were baised out of ohio, but they had all sorts of plastics and baits and I loved them, but it has been a few years since I have actually been bass fishing, if anyone can help me rember the name of the company it would help me out alot

I do remember it was like a buy in bulk catolog and I think it started with a "N" and I think it was a 3 letter abevation

The Fishin' School Seminar Series weekend featuring B.A.S.S. ELITE TOUR Pro's will be held at RIM Park in Waterloo, Ont Nov 21/22, 2009.

Your seminar weekend will consist of 3 Pros per day with 2 hours with each Pro of exceptional instruction from the best in the world!

Registration tables will open at 7am until 8 am.
Attendees will be sorted by alphabetical order, proceed to appropriate table. Attendees will be assigned a Room Schedule and must be followed.
FREE Fishin' School T-Shirts will be issued upon registration. Tim Hortons coffee will be available at a donated cost, proceeds to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Waterloo.

Tips for fishing PLASTICS!

Hey guys,
I am a relatively new bass fanatic. I live in Cincinnati and fish the local parks such as Sharon Woods and Winton Woods, and really want to learn how to fish plastic worms and tubes in small lakes like these.

For the longest time, I have used only spinner baits here...but I see a lot of guys getting into their boats with texas rigs using worms or brush-hogs.

I know how to do bait a texas rig or Carolina rig, but I am not really sure where to cast them, how to retrieve them, and what fishing conditions are best for them.

Any advice for this new bass fishing adict?

OMBTT '08 Schedule

Ohio Mega Bass Tournament Trail schedule is up on the website at http://www.ombtt.com and doesn't appear to have any major conflicts with scheduling and whatnot. For those unfamiliar with this Trail, check out the site, you'll find that it's a 100% PAYBACK CIRCUIT, one of three at the present time in Ohio (see DO Bass Series, Southeast Ohio Lakes Tournament Trail http://www.seoltt.com). 100% is going to become the norm so why not fish for all of your money, rather than just some of it?

The "Trail" is limited to sixty (60) teams in '08, however, they will keep a sign up list in case one or more of the events fill-up and someone drops out.

The "Trail" is run entirely off of membership fee's (a team membership runs $75) and is based on a true 80/20% payout (80% at the event fished and 20% to the Classic with 100% of it--the 20%--paid back PLUS any sponsor funds).

Classic Championship qualification (this year at Kentucky Lake) is automatic if your team fishes or "buys in" for all six regular events.

The '08 Classic will be held in-state at a lake to be announced after the fifth regular event. The '08 field will determine where the '09 Classic will be held, i.e., back to Kentucky Lake in the Fall or in-state again.

Event entries are $200 per team, there are two big bass payouts as well.

Points are only posted for Angler of The Year purposes--'07's AOY Team is the team of Pat Britt and Jeff Kauth.

Another key difference in the "Trail" is the extraordinary means they go to as it relates to fish care. So far, they're the ONLY competitive angling group which utilizes the water-weigh-in method in Ohio (indeed in the Midwest overall, that we know of).

You're looking at Buckeye Lake, Grand Lake St. Mary's, Indian Lake, Delaware Lake and Alum Creek Lake for lakes fished in '08. That's five total but they're fishing Indian twice.

Check them out, they're going into their second year with their first year average of 32 boats per event.

Enclosed is a copy of a police report I will be filing:
I, Ray Schillinger, from approximately 5:45-7:40, was fishing the northern convergence of West Reservoir near the mouth of the area where you approach the iron channel, 100 feet from Large Willow Tree.
Two bass boats were approaching, very fast, creating a wake over 2 feet high. In their approach was a kayaker. I waved my hands to slow them down. A grey Skeeter boat, reg. # OH0779DW, with a passenger sitting on front deck seat, was almost at a 45 degree angle creating a huge wake that sent the kayaker into the break wall.
I yelled NO WAKE. He made a made reply, barely slowed down, still waking. I yelled its the law to make way for the non-motorized boat and repeated No Wake.
The driver of the boat stopped the boat. We exchanged curse words.
The driver then put his boat into reverse while the passenger took off his coat, and threatened me. As I grabbed my phone, the bass boat hit my boat, and the passenger stood on the very edge of the boat. Fists clenched, and one foot from my face, he told me hed kick my ass.
I immediately dialed 911, and the boat turned and fled as I and a homeowner tried to get registration numbers.

I fish every single day. I consider myself a trophy bass hunter. I feel I deserve the same respect in my hunt for 1 fish, as tournament fishermen seeking their 5 fish.
I have as much or more, passion for the art and sport of bass fishing than 90 percent of the tournament fisherman who visit my HOME at the Portage Lakes, once or twice a month.
What is a bigger investment in bass fishing - a fully-rigged bass boat, or a lakefront property, 8 feet from the waters edge, that allows me to be on the water at a moments notice when a front pulls through?
I went to the Bassmaster Classic in Pittsburgh, watch every tournament on television, and enjoy watching the weigh-ins at the launch. The common theme with the FLW and Bassmaster Circuit is CLASS.
Have respect for others on the water, just as you would have for your opponents.
Please Dont allow a few inconsiderates to make a bad name for the sport of Bass fishing. You all represent each other out on the water. Sincerely,

It's BACK! Salmoides Team Tournament Circuit is coming back to Lake Erie!!! First tournament is Sunday July 1, 2007 at the Sandusky City Ramp! Only three tournaments in 2007, BUT, you can qualify for the Salmoides Classic on Kentucky/Barkley Lake in May 2008 by showing up to all 3 Lake Erie Salmoides tournaments in 2007! The Classic will pay approximately $45,000.00 out! For the 3 Lake Erie tournaments in 2007, the payout (based on 50 boats entering) is $4,000.00 to first place, $2,500.00 to second, $1,500.00 to third and pays out 10 places each tournament I think!
